Wow! By the last day of April 2022, Undead Friend has earned over 3000 votes at Top Web Comics — finishing in the top 20 out of thousands of web comics. Big congrats, NJ!
As my Granny used to say when something really surprised her: “Good gravy train!” Here it is, with still a week to go in April, and Undead Friend has racked up nearly 2400 votes at Top Web Comics !! And it is listed in the “Top 20.” Way to go, NJ !
The last day of March and, in less than two weeks, your web comic has gathered over 1400 votes at Top Web Comics. Nearly doubled what it had on March 19th. It looks like Undead Friend is coming back to life !
I’ve been ready since Emergency Exit, I’ll be here whenever you’re well enough to start again. I hope your health improves soon. I hope you get the chance to remain in good health for a long time, friend. Good luck to you.
I hope so too I don’t want to do any more forced hiatuses if I can help it, hence why I’m taking time to really get it stable. Thank you so much for your kind words and for being such a dedicated fan it does mean the world to me! ;_;
Wow! Here it is, the first day of Spring 2022, and “Undead Friend” is in the “Top 40” over at Top Web Comics with over 750 votes so far for the month of March! People have really discovered — or re-discovered — this webcomic ! Way to go, NJ !!!
I just wanted to check in and say that I hope you’re doing well and seeing some improvement in your symptoms. Hang in there, we’re all pulling for you.
Thank you! ;_; I’m still struggling and it’s hard to know if there’s been improvement since I relapse so quickly. I’m talking with doctor and therapist frequently, we will figure it out. I will not give up!
Was an old fan of Emergency Exit. Haven’t check in a lot since that went on hiatus. Found the link to this, and got really scared.
Luckily you have recent time stamps up. Im glad your doing ok, Well, im in a similar boat with medications and therapy, so I get its a bit relative. Your alive. And still making your art after all these years. You’ve gone through a lot.
And you’ve pulled me through a lot as well. Whether you knew it or not.
I get to catch up on your work. Your working on your therapy. Get the rest you need.
I’m happy that you refound me! The forced hiatus from EE was terrible and it took 7 years for me to recover enough to start UF. I am very unfortunate. I’ll do my best to get back to work soon!
Hang in there and don’t give up! I’m just getting over nearly 7 months of chemo and the 1st i had a risky untried surgery removing the kidney tumor but leaving me with a partial but functioning kidney. (lost the other kidney to cancer 17 yrs ago.) I know depression and pain all too well the 18th I returned home from the hospital still weak and sickly but my family and friends have been great for support and understanding and you have that here. Your doctors will find the right combination it might require a lot of meds and remembering what and when to take them all are a pain in itself. Give yourself time and if content is too hard just practice the basics when you’re up to it so you don’t have to struggle with getting back into the creative aspect of the comic. One thing we did was to get whats called a “happy light” it’s a bright LED light that simulates sunlight it’s gives your mind the feeling of being outside relaxing rather than being cooped up in your house an hour or so does help my wife and I a lot. It is bright so having it behind your field of vision is a good idea ours is on the wall behind the head of our bed as a reading light,
Many people have found luck with psilocybin when used in conjunction with therapy. But if you do go that route, make sure you find a doctor who knows how it interacts with your meds to prevent reactions.
Awesome! Glad to hear that you are doing better! Hang in there, life sometimes sucks, but as long as you are willing to hunt for the help you need then things will get better. Been through a less extreme version myself. You can do this!
I’ve been struggling with recovery from surgery for more than a few months now that also has left me unable to work, with zero income for my already poor self as a result. Best of luck to both of us working towards getting better NJ, I still check in now and again! Positive thoughts from me to you and anyone else that needs them!
Good for you for working with your doctor to adjust the prescriptions as needed. And while giving a new avenue a try should be done for a bit, don’t be afraid to call early if it’s bad enough to try and get a change. Good luck and stay safe.

I had no idea! 😮 I’m currently still on forced hiatus so I wasn’t expecting any votes to be happening. I’m glad people can still enjoy it. Thanks!
Still struggling myself, but hoping the best for everyone. Best wishes!
Yes! Let us all fight hard and make it through!

I’m glad you’ve been recovering well, that is a hell of a thing to go through.

This might be a good place to see if it might be an acceptable route for you.

Same friend, same!

It is a long process of trial and error, luckily my therapist and doctor work together so I’m constantly keeping them updated.
A good “plus” that is actually a basic necessity for this. I’m glad you have it.
Good luck
Thankya!!
get yourself squared away and don’t worry about us fans…
I will continue to worry but I will also take care!
Are you implying you are not dead yet? Great!
Good luck with the medication.
Thank you!!
