I don’t know enough about WordPress to help with this, but I wonder it it wouldn’t be simpler to just put Disqus here … although I’m not sure about price of no-ads version.
I definitely wouldn’t want anything with ads and I don’t make enough off the comic to pay for something like that. It seems to be an issue with WordPress itself so I don’t know if changing what I use for comments will actually help cause I have tried many recommended ones but none of them work. I’m making a plea on the main site hopefully someone who reads the comic is familiar with WordPress.
If he hits her she’s dead. I expect that Wylie will do something. Teacher probably wouldn’t dare, she’s obviously not afraid of him.
I can only see this ending in one of two ways.
Either “he is going to just curl up in a ball and die”, Or “he is going to explode, maybe actually hit her, and that’s when the teacher walks in”
