That’s odd, when I am typing the comment, the little avatar box has the trident.
OMG WordPress why do you have to make things so complicated? It STILL shows blue ghost when published. That makes no sense. I’ll try looking around to see if there’s something you’re missing. Meanwhile those with working avatars if you see this, could you tell us your secret?
Okay I just read someone saying that it takes a while for your avatar to show up after the first time it’s loaded or recently changed. Like a few hours or something. So maybe that is it?
Maybe, that kind of makes sense. I’ll see what happens in a day or so.

All the posts made with my account now have the trident. The ones that are still ghosts were from before I made an account.
Also, it was not an inconvenience, I didn’t have an avatar before, so it made no difference how long it took to get up.

For some reason your comment went to spam. I made sure to mark you as not spam so hopefully you’ll be good for now on. Also now the reply button next to people’s posts works now.

Yeah I am so sorry that happened. I am going to have to check the Spam daily to make sure nobody else gets left out. Do contact me if you ever have more troubles with the site.
And apparently a thread can only have 12 replies, this shouldn’t be a problem though, I mean, how often are there this many replies on one comment…
Not much I can do there, I have the thread thingy set to max. But like you said, that is probably not going to be an issue in the future. I want to encourage people to use the discord anyway that’s a easier place for bigger discussions if someone ever feels inclined to do so.
I just noticed something. When you click reply, the page reloads and the message “Leave a comment” changes to “reply to ____” however even after you send the reply the message still says “reply to _____” so in order to send a regular comment after sending a reply you need to reload the page.
Just make sure that everyone knows this.
Damn so there is still an annoying feature. I can mention it on the page but like, 90% of people don’t read what I write so I can only prepare them for so much. I still appreciate being able to reply still. But I wonder what I can do to fix that, I wonder if it’s some other plugin cause I have gone through the comment settings thoroughly and can’t find options for stuff like this.

I just noticed something, the code line included in my message on replies is missing. Do you have a url/spam filter?
I have no idea -_- I really know nothing about making sites I am trying my best. I would be fine with people posting URLs cause I can just delete Spam before it goes on site, so I’ll look into my settings to see if that is something I can disable.
Anyway, first test, I just disabled all my Yoast plugins. Can you or someone else try and reply to this and see if it works?

No problem get back to me anytime. Also I disabled another plugin just in case it was the one causing the new issue but I have no idea if it’s related at all. So we’ll have to test it sometime.
There is a “Cancel Reply” button, but idk if that was their before, I just didn’t notice.

So I thought about your offer of an avatar, could you draw a bone trident; leather wrapped haft, but so you can still kind of see the bone beneath, and maybe some small lightning tendrils around the tines (like a high level weapon channeling an electricity elementalist) any background is fine.
If this is too complicated, just a simple bone trident is fine,

I did a quick google about replies not working on WordPress. I have numbered my findings, I’m not sure what you have tried yet though.
1) Is thread nesting enabled/set to a value higher than 1 (5 is a good number)
2) Someone said that their version of Yoast was creating the problem, and disabling it fixed comment reply. But idk if you use Yoast.
3) Check if Comment-reply.js is loaded, if not;
“This should be already included in your theme’s template files that handles the comment feature. View the page source to see if its included, if its not included then to include the this file. Goto functions.php and add this code.”
The “ ” and code is a cut and paste from a forum.
Hey thanks for finding some options for me, some of these I haven’t heard of before, I think I might have Yoast so I’ll definitely look into that. I will report back later.
Ok… so now I’m picturing several players in the real world surrounding a tank or something, and making a portal to drop it into asphodel.
I just had a thought, would a gun kill a fiend? Naturally you would still need your bone blade to collect the points, but a gun would make fiend hunting safer.
Any weapon works on them, guns included, so long as you have your weapon to absorb the points. Guns are not easy to get a hold of in this society though.
